Akvareli na skeli 2016.
From today you can see the works created on this year's <
This year, water has once again brought artists together. Two opposing shores of the Sava River
connected by ferry have been turned into tempo¬rary camps safe of rain and a place for exchanging
conversational murmur and silent contemplation over blank paper pages. The slow creeping of Sava painted the passing of time that is stored within the watercolors, as written expressions of the seen and transcriptions of the imaginary. A watercolor pres¬ents an image of time or a moment. Every stroke of brush leaves a mark, giving us insight into the author’s vision or the mood that builds his artistic expression.
This year’s colony has once again scattered into a diversity of moods and artistic approaches. The works are spanning from strictly controlled paint¬ing processes with designed compositions realized as virtuous interpretations of nature, human and animal figures, various geometrical and abstract
motifs to free, expressive combining of blots and lines, details forming ludic wholes. The ensemble of works created during the colony has revitalized the simple and fluid splendor of the watercolor – a technique that invites to an immediate contact between man and nature, to so¬cializing and exchanging opinions.
